It has been a while...

I have not written in this blog in over 9 months because it was for one of my college classes. I figured after the class was done I would be done writing in it but once in a while I hear a great quote or I have something on my mind that I feel should be publicized.

I saw this in an article I read today called "If I Could Tell My Adolescent Self What I Know Now." The girl that wrote this article just turned 22 which the age I am at, but now I am almost 23...

You’ll feel the most pain when you witness good people go through the worst bullsh*t.

When you watch your mom and dad work hard for what they have and it crumbles before their eyes, you’ll feel the most pain. When you watch your grandparents feel the repercussions of backaches and leg problems from decades of working hard labor jobs, you’ll feel the most pain. When you witness an innocent child born with a disability that they didn’t ask for, you’ll feel the most pain. The best solution to that is to remind these people that they’re precious and loved.

Sometimes the strongest people are the ones who love beyond all faults, cry behind closed doors, and fight battles that nobody knows about

I have learned to never judge anyone. You never know what the person walking across the street has gone through. When people fight battles nobody knows about it could be for better or worse. For better, some people do not like to take credit doing such a wonderful thing for someone. For worse, they may not want people to know the struggles they go through because they do not feel the need to explain themselves. These are the type of people that will never tell you the whole truth to their lives because it is hard for them to trust people. These people are ones that cry behind closed doors, in the shower, or in the car because they do not want people to see them. They tend to be strong because they have gone through the most. Some people will never know that because they may only want people to know the best times in their lives. They are the ones that have the strongest hearts because they have gone through weakness.

"I always find beauty in things that are odd and imperfect - they are much more interesting." Marc Jacobs

My life has always been filled with ups and downs. Whenever I fall into a normal setting I almost get uncomfortable because I am used to everything being all over the place. Whenever I see something “odd” or “imperfect” it catches my attention more because I always feel there is a better story behind why it might be this way. Most people strive for perfect or normal attributes, but to get to that you must face the unusual because it will give you a broader perspective on certain things.
